A brand-new matching front-load set at a big-box retailer commonly runs $1,800–$2,600. The same set with cosmetic scratch or dent damage — mechanically identical, backed by the same full manufacturer warranty — usually lands in the $900–$1,400 range at Apex Sales. That's 40–65% off the sticker price for two appliances you'd buy anyway.
Top-load sets tend to save even more percentage-wise, because the dents are almost always hidden against a wall.
What to check before you buy
Capacity
4.5 cu ft washer + 7.0+ cu ft dryer is the sweet spot for a family of four. Smaller apartments do well with 3.5 / 5.5.
Fuel type
Match your dryer to your hookup — electric (240V) or gas. Gas dryers dry faster and cost less to run long term.
Stack or side-by-side
Front-load pairs stack with a bracket kit. Top-loaders don't stack. Measure vertical clearance before you commit.
Vent path
Every dryer (except ventless) needs an outside vent within ~25 ft of duct run. Confirm your existing path before delivery day.
Where the damage usually is
On a laundry pair, cosmetic damage is almost always on the top, sides, or back panels — spots that end up hidden against a wall or under a countertop. The front control panel and door are the visible surfaces, and those are almost always clean on the units we accept.

Every set we sell comes with the same full manufacturer warranty as a new-in-box unit — the manufacturer doesn't distinguish based on cosmetic condition. We offer curbside drop-off across mid-Missouri (we don't install or move units inside — arrange a plumber or installer for hookup).
